The Master’s Degree Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky is designed so that students will be able to practice professionally as entry level speech-language pathologists upon completion of the program. Graduating students will be eligible to apply for the Certificate of 临床 Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association if all certification requirements are fulfilled satisfactorily. Students may also be eligible for Licensure in speech-language pathology in Kentucky and elsewhere in Speech Language Pathology.
Completion of a graduate degree in speech-language pathology is required for national certification and state licensure, as well as for teaching certification in most states. Most graduate programs require 1 1/2 to 2 years of full-time study to complete. Participation in UK’s graduate program, or any other program around the state or country, 竞争非常激烈. Most programs will require a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 to be considered for admission.
